Yes, it’s one of those glory days where I can actually do a video chat. I’ve wanted to get my hands on these gadgets for quite a awhile now, and now that I finally got it, I am ready for some online conferences.

What does the Logitech quick cam offer?

It has video Capture 640 x 480 pixels, still image capture (there is a snap button in the back), a usb cable, manual focus, and obviously a sleek slip for computer monitors.

I am going to get the cam setup, and going on. Let’s see how this comes out.

The day and age for dual core cpu’s seem over to me. I beleive we should move on to quad core CPUs like the q6600. People might believe that the dual core surpasses quad core CPUs because programs aren’t made to run it. That might be true, for now, but games will soon utilize quad core CPUs to better handle 3d gaming. Also quad core CPUs can be OC a lot. For example, with the right motherboard, a 2.4ghz quad core cpu can be OC to 3.6. So basically you have 4 CPU’s at the speed of 3.6ghz. So if you are considering getting a new computer you might want to try quad core CPUs.

Today, I finally got my hands on the new sleek Nano. Yes, the new one where it’s a bit wide, and obviously, has more capabilities than the old ones.

Well, lets see what it has.

Play up to 5 hours of video or up to 24 hours of audio on a single charge.1 All that staying power and a wafer-thin, 6.5-mm profile makes iPod nano one small big attraction.

The whole gadget is really sleek, and you can do much more than the old nano. The screen is bigger, and plays videos. It is quite thin, however, not that small in width.

Every so often you will come by a device that is not working. 90% of the time it is because a driver is not installed. There is a way to check if is correctly installed on the computer. to check click Start->Right Click My Computer->Properties->Hardware->Device Manager. Once there any object with an exclamation point means that the driver has not been installed on it. also if there is a red X on the icon, this means that the device has been disabled. To enable the device, Right click the object and go to properties. Then click the drop down box and choose enable.

Frys has PQI 2GB PC2-6400 Desktop Memory for $40 with free shipping. I suggest that if you need ram, you should buy this now. And if you dont? Ram always makes a good present for the geeky kid in your family. It is always good to have more ram in your computer because it will not only make it faster but will save a lot of time. Your computer will open programs faster and it will help your computing performance overall. If you do buy ram make sure that your computer is compatible with it. Do a quick search on google with your computer name and what type of ram it needs.

This is one of the coolest PC case mods that I have ever seen.

Recently, I had my hands on the network adapters from Netgear, which basically are wireless cards, but portable and alot stronger. It comes with its own software which controls your network, and obviously, the instruction manual.

First off- the product was fairly well, as it did detect wireless connections farther than my actual 5 year antique card. The software was quite sophisticated, had quite unique features such as ?Find new networks? and it took only 15 seconds, to refresh on that. However, the piece is bit big, and quite large in width, specifically. Moreover, it was great, and worked fairly well. It?s range is around 1000ft. The guy at staples told me 2000, if there are not too many walls.

The device is useful if you aren?t getting clear reception at places. The price is around $80, so try it out if you have problem connecting to a network. Too bad all my neighbor networks were secured. Perhaps, a very good tool when you live in a condo.

Recently, I?ve got my hands on the Blackberry 7130C. It is quite outdated, compared to other new models such as the 8800, and so on. The main point I?d like to say about it is, it is not for everyone. The phone does have a nice layout, you have large icons, and quite colorful. There is an option where your emergency calls can bypass your settings, you have a scroll wheel, and unfortunately, no camera. However, you will see that they probably do have some camera?s and other tweaks on the upgraded models.

The phone has a nice email software. Email are quite easily done, and you can save drafts. Additionally, you have internet, which I didn?t get to use, but hoping it won?t be too bad.

Some Cons:

There are office applications, but they can get quite expensive, and the keyboard isn?t the best. Having 2 letter per key can make it annoying. The phone overall is great, but some features such as the keyboard, and other side stuff aren?t the best.

You can make the text really big, so if you have trouble getting down with the tiny lines on the normal flip phones, you are better off with blackberry. Text messaging is a charm, the way it sorts messages. Not a bad one.
