Yes, it’s one of those glory days where I can actually do a video chat. I’ve wanted to get my hands on these gadgets for quite a awhile now, and now that I finally got it, I am ready for some online conferences.

What does the Logitech quick cam offer?

It has video Capture 640 x 480 pixels, still image capture (there is a snap button in the back), a usb cable, manual focus, and obviously a sleek slip for computer monitors.

I am going to get the cam setup, and going on. Let’s see how this comes out.

Earlier I posted different ways to get free music. The earlier methods were to use goodle or seeqpod.com but now I found another site that I wish to share with you. This site is called Bee MP3. This site doesn’t host any mp3 files, but indexes it for you to download. All you do is place the song name into the search field and hit enter. What amkes this site great is that you can search by album as well. This site indexes a wide range. You must accept their user agreement before you download as well.

The day and age for dual core cpu’s seem over to me. I beleive we should move on to quad core CPUs like the q6600. People might believe that the dual core surpasses quad core CPUs because programs aren’t made to run it. That might be true, for now, but games will soon utilize quad core CPUs to better handle 3d gaming. Also quad core CPUs can be OC a lot. For example, with the right motherboard, a 2.4ghz quad core cpu can be OC to 3.6. So basically you have 4 CPU’s at the speed of 3.6ghz. So if you are considering getting a new computer you might want to try quad core CPUs.

Don’t you hate it when you turn on the computer and you must wait a couple minutes before use? What make cause this slow down is due to the fact that many programs are starting up as you turn on a computer. Often when you install new programs onto a computer they add a registry edit where they start upon startup. These programs do not need to be started as you turn on the computer because they don’t affect how they function.

To remove these programs at start up go to Start->Run-> Type msconfig then press enter. Go to the start up tab and a list of programs should be there. For example, I removed the AIM entry also you may be willing to remove MSN messenger or any other unneeded programs.

This tip will shave off maybe minutes, depending on how many programs start at start up, so try it out and see if there is a difference.

Today, I finally got my hands on the new sleek Nano. Yes, the new one where it’s a bit wide, and obviously, has more capabilities than the old ones.

Well, lets see what it has.

The whole gadget is really sleek, and you can do much more than the old nano. The screen is bigger, and plays videos. It is quite thin, however, not that small in width.

PDFs are everywhere these days and most people use adobe pdf reader to view them. Of course most people use it but it isnt the best choice out there. Foxit PDF reader is only 3 mb big unlike Adobe which is 20+ mb. It is also much better then adobe because it is lightning fast. When using adobe it will take around 10 seconds however with foxit it will take a fraction of the time.

Every so often you will come by a device that is not working. 90% of the time it is because a driver is not installed. There is a way to check if is correctly installed on the computer. to check click Start->Right Click My Computer->Properties->Hardware->Device Manager. Once there any object with an exclamation point means that the driver has not been installed on it. also if there is a red X on the icon, this means that the device has been disabled. To enable the device, Right click the object and go to properties. Then click the drop down box and choose enable.

I was on Digg.com and a video had made it to the front page. So like any other digg user I wanted to watch it, but to my discontent the video was deleted off youtube. However, videos are just removed from the public but they are still on youtubes server waiting to be erased. Luckily there are sites that exploit this and allow users to watch deleted youtube videos. Gmail chat now offers the option to sign in to your AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) account to chat with your AIM buddies from Gmail. Your AIM buddies will populate your Contacts list, and are searchable just like your Google Talk contacts.

Chatting with your AIM buddies is easy — just click on a name in your chat list, and start typing.

Note that an AIM account is required to use this feature. AIM in Gmail is not a Google Talk and AIM federation; it’s the ability to sign in to your AIM messaging account from Gmail. Gmail uses Open AIM to provide this feature.

I just noticed this when I logined to gmail today. I must say gmail knows how to please their users. However the only down side to using Aim is that you must use Firefox or Internet Explorer. So sorry for Opera users out there, like me. Now for those who dont like adding extra software to their computer, you can use this great feature.
